August of Saxe-Weissenfels (1650–1674)

August of Saxe-Weissenfels (3 August 1650 – 11 August 1674) was a Prince of Saxe-Weissenfels and provost of Magdeburg. He was the second son of Duke August of Saxe-Weissenfels and his wife Anna Maria of Mecklenburg-Schwerin.

Born in Halle, August died in the same city at the age of 24. He did not marry and left no issue. His premature death meant he did not succeed to the duchy of Saxe-Weissenfels, which instead passed to his younger brother, Johann Adolf I. His brief tenure as provost of Magdeburg likely had little lasting impact, but his role within the ducal family contributed to the complex dynastic landscape of the region.
