Bill Horr
Bill Horr (November 1, 1880 – July 1, 1955) was an American athlete who competed in track and field events at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. He was a member of the Irish American Athletic Club and specialized in throwing events.
Horr won the silver medal in the discus throw at the 1908 Olympics. He also competed in the shot put, finishing in fourth place. Beyond the Olympics, Horr was a prominent figure in American track and field during the early 20th century, holding several national titles and records in throwing events. He was known for his powerful physique and dedication to training. After his athletic career, he became involved in coaching and promoting track and field.
