Monday Kiz (band)

Monday Kiz is a South Korean R&B duo known for their ballad-heavy discography and strong vocal harmonies. Formed in 2005, the group originally consisted of Lee Jin-sung and Kim Min-soo. Following Kim Min-soo's tragic death in 2008, Lee Jin-sung continued the group under the same name, occasionally collaborating with other artists.

The group's name, Monday Kiz, is a portmanteau of "Monday" representing the often-difficult start of the week, and "Kiz," a shortened form of "Kids," reflecting the youthful passion and musical spirit of the original members.

Monday Kiz is recognized for their emotional and powerful vocal performances, often focusing on themes of love, heartbreak, and longing. Their signature sound incorporates elements of R&B, pop, and traditional Korean ballad styles. They have released numerous albums and singles, contributing to several popular Korean drama soundtracks. Notable hit songs include "Bye Bye Bye," "흩어져 (Scattered)," and "가슴으로 외쳐 (Scream With My Heart)."

The current iteration of Monday Kiz primarily consists of Lee Jin-sung, who continues to release music and perform, carrying on the legacy of the group. He has been joined by various guest vocalists throughout the years.
