William Sexton (politician)
William Sexton (born November 21, 1947) is an American politician who served as a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives representing District 69 from 2007 to 2019. The district includes portions of Kenton and Boone counties.
Sexton was initially elected in a special election following the resignation of Arnold Simpson. He served on several committees including the Appropriations and Revenue Committee, the Education Committee, and the Judiciary Committee. He held leadership positions including chairman of the Education Committee.
Sexton unsuccessfully sought election to the Kentucky State Senate in 2018. Prior to his political career, Sexton worked as an educator and in business. He resides in Independence, Kentucky.
