Unis (TV channel)
Unis is a Canadian French-language discretionary service channel owned by TV5 Québec Canada, a consortium consisting of Télé-Québec (76.92%) and Radio-Canada (23.08%). The channel broadcasts programming focusing on Canadian culture and talent, particularly from outside of Quebec. It aims to reflect the diversity of francophone communities across Canada.
Unis was launched on September 1, 2014, replacing the former TV channel, ARTVi. The launch of Unis was part of a commitment made by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (Radio-Canada) to support the production and broadcast of French-language content from minority language communities across Canada.
The channel's programming includes documentaries, films, music shows, and variety programs. Unis also airs news and current affairs programs produced by Radio-Canada.
Unis is available on most major cable and satellite providers across Canada as part of a discretionary package. Its headquarters are located in Montreal, Quebec.
