Patrick Cronin (bishop)

Patrick Cronin (born October 25, 1913, Killasser, County Mayo, Ireland; died February 15, 1991) was an Irish Roman Catholic missionary bishop. He served as the Bishop of Ozamiz in the Philippines from 1970 to 1981.

Cronin joined the Missionary Society of St. Columban (Columbans) and was ordained a priest on December 21, 1936. He served as a missionary in the Philippines for many years before his appointment as Bishop.

On October 24, 1970, Cronin was appointed Bishop of Ozamiz by Pope Paul VI. He was consecrated on January 31, 1971. During his time as Bishop, he focused on pastoral care, social justice issues, and the development of Catholic education within the diocese.

Cronin resigned from his position as Bishop of Ozamiz on May 5, 1981. He remained in the Philippines, assisting with pastoral work until his death in 1991.
