USS Acme (AMc-61)

USS Acme (AMc-61) was an Acme-class coastal minesweeper built for the United States Navy during World War II. Built by the Fulton Shipyard in Antioch, California, she was launched on March 17, 1941, and commissioned on August 2, 1941.

Assigned to coastal patrol and minesweeping duties, the USS Acme primarily served in the Pacific Theater. Her tasks included sweeping harbors, escorting convoys, and conducting anti-submarine patrols. She participated in operations around the Hawaiian Islands and other strategic locations.

Following the end of World War II, the USS Acme was decommissioned on November 30, 1945. She was subsequently struck from the Navy List and sold for scrap. There are no known surviving physical artifacts of the ship.
