Abdul Matin Chowdhury (scholar)

Abdul Matin Chowdhury (born 1939, died 2012) was a Bangladeshi academic, economist, and intellectual. He was a prominent figure in the fields of development economics, agricultural economics, and rural development in Bangladesh.

Chowdhury obtained his PhD in economics from Vanderbilt University in the United States. He subsequently returned to Bangladesh and dedicated his career to teaching, research, and policy advocacy.
