Inashiki

Inashiki is a city located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. Situated in the southeastern part of the prefecture, it is part of the Greater Tokyo Area.

History:

Inashiki was formed on March 22, 2005, from the merger of the towns of Azuma, Edosaki, and Shintone, all formerly part of Inashiki District. As a result of the merger, the Inashiki District was dissolved. The city's name, Inashiki, is taken from the former district name.

Geography:

Inashiki is located on the shores of Lake Kasumigaura, Japan's second largest lake. The landscape is primarily agricultural, with rice paddies and other farmland dominating the area. The city is relatively flat, with no significant mountains or hills.
