Durana
Durana is a perennial forage legume, specifically a white clover ( Trifolium repens L.) variety. It is known for its persistence, improved drought tolerance compared to many other white clover cultivars, and its compatibility with warm-season grasses. Developed by researchers at the University of Georgia, Durana white clover is often used in pastures and hayfields in the southeastern United States and other regions with similar climates. Its dense growth habit helps it compete with weeds and improve soil health through nitrogen fixation. Key characteristics include its small to medium leaf size, prostrate growth habit, and ability to spread via stolons (above-ground stems). Durana is also recognized for its strong reseeding ability.
