Tripping Daisy (album)

Tripping Daisy, also known as the "blue album" by fans due to its cover art, is the third and final studio album by the American psychedelic rock band Tripping Daisy. It was released on October 19, 1999, by Island Records. The album showcased a refinement of the band's previous sound, blending elements of power pop, psychedelia, and alternative rock.

While critically acclaimed, the album experienced significant delays in its release and ultimately suffered from a lack of promotional support from the record label. This was partially attributed to internal changes at Island Records during that period. Despite the challenges, "Tripping Daisy" is often cited by fans and critics as one of the band's strongest and most cohesive works, displaying their mature songwriting and innovative arrangements.

Notable tracks from the album include "I Got A Girl", "Sonic Bloom", and "Raindrop", each highlighting different facets of the band's musical style. Following the release of this album, Tripping Daisy disbanded, with some members later forming the band The Polyphonic Spree.
