Traenheim

Traenheim is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region of northeastern France. It is located approximately 25 kilometers west of Strasbourg. Traenheim is part of the arrondissement of Saverne and the canton of Saverne. The village is situated in the Alsace plain and is primarily an agricultural area. The local economy is based mainly on farming, particularly the cultivation of cereals and other crops. Historical records indicate that Traenheim has existed since the Middle Ages. The population of Traenheim is relatively small, with a few hundred residents.
