Think (band)
Think was an American funk band from Cleveland, Ohio, active in the early to mid-1970s. The band was formed by vocalist and keyboardist Willie Lester, and their music blended elements of funk, soul, and psychedelic rock.
Think released two albums: Think (1971) and Once You Understand (1974). Their music is characterized by its heavy funk grooves, powerful horn arrangements, and socially conscious lyrics. Key members included, but were not limited to, Willie Lester (vocals, keyboards), Phil Small (bass), and Tyrone Brunson (guitar).
While Think did not achieve mainstream commercial success, they are now regarded as a cult classic within funk music circles, and their recordings are highly sought after by collectors. Their music has been sampled by numerous hip-hop artists.
