Durakhlu

Durakhlu is a village located in the Zangilan District of Azerbaijan. It is situated near the border with Armenia. The village was under Armenian occupation following the First Nagorno-Karabakh War in the early 1990s. Control of Durakhlu was regained by Azerbaijan in late 2020 during the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. The area is currently undergoing reconstruction and demining efforts. Information regarding pre-occupation demographics and economic activities in Durakhlu is limited and often contested due to the conflict and displacement of the population. Its strategic location near the border has historically made it a point of contention between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
