John Cutts (died 1615)

John Cutts (died 1615) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1593 and 1614.

Cutts was the son of John Cutts of Childerley, Cambridgeshire and his wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Hynde of Madingley, Cambridgeshire. He matriculated at Peterhouse, Cambridge in 1577 and was admitted at Gray's Inn on 9 February 1580. He inherited the manor of Childerley in 1584.

In 1593, Cutts was elected Member of Parliament for Cambridgeshire. He was re-elected MP for Cambridgeshire in 1597, 1601, 1604 and 1614.

Cutts married Margaret, the daughter of Sir Clement Higham of Barrow, Suffolk. They had several children including John, his heir, and Sir John Cutts of Childerley. He was succeeded by his son, John Cutts, who was created a baronet in 1660.
