Bob Nichols (curler)
Bob Nichols is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is best known for his success in senior men's curling.
Nichols skipped his team to victory at the 2016 Canadian Senior Curling Championships, held in Digby, Nova Scotia. The team, which included third Ron Westcott, second Ron Leech, and lead Ted Dean, represented Manitoba and defeated Ontario in the final. This victory qualified them to represent Canada at the 2017 World Senior Curling Championships in Lethbridge, Alberta.
At the 2017 World Senior Curling Championships, Nichols and his team secured a silver medal, losing to Sweden in the final. His team also included the same lineup as at the Canadian championships: Ron Westcott, Ron Leech, and Ted Dean.
Nichols has been a long-time competitor in Manitoba curling circles and has participated in numerous provincial and national curling events throughout his career. He is regarded as a skilled strategist and shooter, particularly within the senior men's division.
