Malczyce

Malczyce is a town in Środa Śląska County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in southwestern Poland. It is located on the Oder River, approximately 17 kilometers (11 mi) northwest of Środa Śląska, and 43 kilometers (27 mi) northwest of the regional capital Wrocław.

Historically, Malczyce has been part of Silesia. The area's history is intertwined with the broader regional history, experiencing periods under Polish, Bohemian (Czech), Habsburg Austrian, Prussian, and German rule before returning to Poland after World War II.

Malczyce is a local administrative center, serving as the seat of the gmina (municipality) of Malczyce. The local economy is primarily based on agriculture and small businesses.
