Chiềng Sơ

Chiềng Sơ is a commune (xã) in the Điện Biên Đông district of Điện Biên province, in northwestern Vietnam. It is a rural, mountainous region primarily inhabited by ethnic minority groups. The economy is largely based on agriculture, including rice cultivation and animal husbandry. Infrastructure in Chiềng Sơ is relatively underdeveloped compared to more urban areas of Vietnam. The commune faces challenges related to poverty, access to education and healthcare, and limited economic opportunities.
