Tourist (film)
The Tourist is a 2010 American romantic thriller film directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. It is a remake of the 2005 French film Anthony Zimmer.
The plot revolves around Elise Clifton-Ward (Jolie), who is pursued by Interpol for her association with Alexander Pearce, a man who stole billions of pounds from a ruthless gangster, Shaw. While in Venice, Elise is instructed by Pearce to choose a random tourist to pose as him in order to throw the authorities off their trail. She selects Frank Tupelo (Depp), an American math teacher, and their lives become intertwined in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, involving international intrigue, deception, and romance.
Filming locations included Paris and Venice, contributing to the film's visual appeal and atmosphere.
