Jim Murphy (hurler)

Jim Murphy is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Cork senior hurling team.

Murphy played club hurling with Erin's Own and also represented Imokilly at divisional level. He enjoyed considerable success at both levels, winning Cork Senior Hurling Championship titles with Erin's Own in 1992 and 2006, and with Imokilly in 1997 and 1998.

At inter-county level, Murphy made his senior debut for Cork in 1992. He was a regular member of the team throughout the 1990s, winning All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship medals in 1990 (as a non-playing substitute), 1999, and a Munster Senior Hurling Championship medal in 1992. He retired from inter-county hurling in 2002.

He also won a National Hurling League medal in 1998.
