Project Harmony (licensing)

Project Harmony was a collaborative effort, primarily within the open-source community, to clarify and standardize open-source licensing practices and terminology. The project, which was active from approximately 2007 to 2010, aimed to address inconsistencies and ambiguities found in existing open-source licenses and licensing-related language. It provided resources and frameworks intended to promote better understanding and more consistent application of open-source licensing principles.

A key goal of Project Harmony was to develop standardized "templates" or "components" for open-source licenses.
