Tony Maher (Gaelic footballer)

Tony Maher is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the club Thurles Sarsfields and formerly for the Tipperary county team. Primarily a goalkeeper, Maher was a key member of the Tipperary team that won the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 2010 and 2016. He also won Munster Senior Hurling Championships with Tipperary in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2016. Maher has received All-Star awards for his performances in goal. His career with Tipperary concluded in 2023.
