Jackie Robinson (basketball, born 1927)

Jackie Robinson (born October 26, 1927, died November 20, 2022) was an American professional basketball player. He should not be confused with baseball legend Jackie Robinson.

Robinson, a 6'6" forward, played collegiately at Seattle University. He was drafted by the Chicago Stags in the 1949 BAA draft (territorial pick). He played two seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Stags (1949-50) and the Tri-Cities Blackhawks (1950-51). Over his NBA career, he appeared in 77 games, averaging 4.4 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. After his NBA career, Robinson continued playing professionally in the lower leagues.
