Fused (album)

Fused is a collaborative studio album by Tony Iommi, guitarist of Black Sabbath, and Glenn Hughes, former bassist and vocalist of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. It was released on July 12, 2005, through Sanctuary Records.

The album's genesis stems from Iommi and Hughes' earlier collaboration on the 1986 Black Sabbath album Seventh Star, although Hughes was quickly replaced due to vocal and performance issues. Fused represents a more complete realization of their musical partnership. The album features a hard rock and heavy metal sound, characterized by Iommi's signature riffs and Hughes' powerful vocals. Kenny Aronoff plays drums on the album.

The album received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the musicianship and the strength of the songwriting. It is often considered a highlight in both Iommi's solo career and Hughes' extensive discography. Key tracks include "Dopamine," "Face Your Fear," and "I Go Insane."
