Raiwind

Raiwind is a town located in the Kasur District of the Punjab province in Pakistan. It is situated approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Lahore, the provincial capital. Raiwind is historically significant as the location of the annual Ijtema (congregation) of the Tablighi Jamaat, a global Islamic missionary movement. This Ijtema attracts millions of attendees from around the world, making it one of the largest annual gatherings of Muslims.

Beyond its religious importance, Raiwind is an agricultural center, with surrounding areas dedicated to farming. The town also serves as a transportation hub, connecting Lahore to other parts of the Punjab province. Raiwind hosts a railway junction and plays a role in the regional trade and commerce.
