Lesseyton
Lesseyton is a village and civil parish in Wiltshire, England. It is located approximately 3 miles (5 km) south of Swindon.
The parish encompasses the village of Liddington and the hamlet of Medbourne. Historically, the area was primarily agricultural. Modern Lesseyton is largely a residential area, with many residents commuting to Swindon for work.
History: The name "Lesseyton" is believed to derive from Old English, potentially meaning "Leofric's farm" or "Leofric's enclosure." Archaeological evidence suggests settlement in the area dates back to the Roman period. The Domesday Book recorded Liddington (presumably including the Lesseyton area) as "Lidingtone."
