Richard Clitherow (bishop)
Richard Clitherow (died 1513) was an English clergyman who served as Bishop of Bangor.
Clitherow's early life and education remain largely obscure. He was appointed Bishop of Bangor in 1500, holding the position until his death in 1513. Very little specific information about his activities as bishop survives, typical for the period and location. The Diocese of Bangor at the time was relatively poor, and records are scant. His tenure likely involved the routine administration of diocesan affairs, including ordinations, confirmations, and the management of church properties. He is not known for any significant theological contributions or political involvement. His successor as Bishop of Bangor was John Penny.
