Tom McCarthy (ice hockey, born 1934)
Tom McCarthy (born October 16, 1934, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player.
McCarthy played primarily in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the Western Hockey League (WHL) throughout his career. He was a left winger. He played 15 seasons of professional hockey, primarily for the Pittsburgh Hornets (AHL), the Cleveland Barons (AHL), and the Vancouver Canucks (WHL) before the latter joined the National Hockey League (NHL). He was known for his scoring ability and tough play.
