Tina (film)

Tina is a 1993 American biographical film directed by Brian Gibson, telling the story of the life of singer Tina Turner. The film stars Angela Bassett as Tina Turner and Laurence Fishburne as Ike Turner. It chronicles Tina's turbulent relationship with Ike, focusing on the physical and emotional abuse she endured throughout their marriage, and her eventual escape and rise to fame as a solo artist.
