.22 TCM

The .22 TCM (Tuason Craig Micromagnum) is a proprietary bottlenecked pistol cartridge developed by Armscor (Arms Corporation of the Philippines) and designed by Fred Craig and Martin Tuason. It is based on the .223 Remington cartridge necked down to accept a .22 caliber (0.224 inch) bullet. The primary design goal was to create a high-velocity cartridge suitable for use in pistols, offering increased velocity and a flatter trajectory compared to more traditional pistol cartridges.

The cartridge typically uses a 40-grain projectile and is known for its high muzzle velocity, often exceeding 2,000 feet per second from a 5-inch pistol barrel. This high velocity contributes to its claimed improved penetration and potential for reduced recoil compared to other pistol cartridges with similar energy levels.

Firearms chambered in .22 TCM are primarily manufactured by Armscor/Rock Island Armory.
