Eddie Lewis (footballer, born 1935)

Eddie Lewis (born 25 July 1935) is a former English professional footballer. He played as an outside left.

Lewis began his career with Manchester United, signing as a professional in 1954. He made his debut in the 1955-56 season, and was a squad member of the famous "Busby Babes" team. He was transferred to Preston North End in 1958, shortly after the Munich air disaster, having made 20 league appearances for Manchester United, scoring twice.

At Preston North End, Lewis became a key player, featuring regularly in the side. He later moved to West Ham United in 1965, where he also enjoyed a spell. He then played for Folkestone Town before retiring from professional football.
