Alun Davies (guitarist)

Alun Davies is a Welsh guitarist and singer, best known for his long-time collaboration with Cat Stevens (Yusuf Islam). He played guitar and provided backing vocals on many of Stevens' most famous albums and tours throughout the 1970s.

Davies' distinctive guitar style, often incorporating fingerpicking techniques and intricate arrangements, contributed significantly to the sound of Cat Stevens' music. He was an integral part of the live performances, often sharing the stage and harmonizing with Stevens.

Beyond his work with Cat Stevens, Davies has also worked as a session musician and released his own solo material. He continues to perform and record. His contributions to folk and popular music have earned him a respected place among guitarists.
