The Sensational Spider-Man (vol. 2)
The Sensational Spider-Man (vol. 2) is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics, running from 2006 to 2007. This second volume followed directly after the cancellation of Peter Parker: Spider-Man and continued the numbering of that series, beginning with issue #28. The series was primarily written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, with art by Angel Medina.
The title aimed to present a more mature and gritty portrayal of Spider-Man, often dealing with darker themes and exploring the consequences of Peter Parker's dual life in greater depth. Storylines included Peter facing moral dilemmas, battling classic villains, and dealing with the challenges of maintaining his relationships while protecting New York City. The series also explored Peter's personal struggles with finances, work, and the everyday challenges of being a young adult.
The short run of the title concluded with issue #41, after which Spider-Man's stories were primarily featured in the flagship title The Amazing Spider-Man and other related series. While relatively brief, The Sensational Spider-Man (vol. 2) is remembered by some fans for its distinctive tone and focus on Peter Parker's internal struggles.
