2017 World Open (snooker)
The 2017 World Open was a professional ranking snooker tournament that took place from 24–30 July 2017 at the Yushan Sport Centre in Yushan, China. It was the third ranking event of the 2017/2018 season.
Ding Junhui was the defending champion, having defeated Ali Carter in the 2016 final. However, Ding lost in the second round to Xiao Guodong.
Mark Williams won the tournament, defeating the then-reigning World Champion Mark Selby 10–8 in the final. This was Williams's 19th ranking title and his first since the 2011 German Masters.
