Dagami
Dagami, also spelled Dagami, is a municipality in the province of Leyte, Philippines. It is located in the central part of the island of Leyte and is part of the 5th congressional district of the province. The municipality is primarily an agricultural area, with rice production being a significant economic activity. Dagami is also known for its historical significance, being one of the sites where General Douglas MacArthur landed during the liberation of the Philippines in World War II. The name "Dagami" is believed to originate from a local term referring to rice straw or stalks. The town celebrates its annual town fiesta in honor of its patron saint, the Holy Child.
