Tennessee Christmas (album)
Tennessee Christmas is a Christmas-themed studio album by American country music artist Amy Grant, released in 1983 on Myrrh Records. It is Grant's second Christmas album, following A Christmas Album (1983). The album features a mix of traditional Christmas carols and original songs, many with a country or folk influence. It includes the popular title track, "Tennessee Christmas," co-written by Grant and Gary Chapman, which evokes nostalgic imagery of a Christmas in the American South. Other notable tracks include "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "A Christmas to Remember," and "Emmanuel." The album was a commercial success, achieving platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Tennessee Christmas is considered a staple of contemporary Christian and Christmas music, and has remained a popular holiday album for several decades. It was re-released in subsequent years, often with updated packaging or bonus tracks.
