Take Two (TV series)
Take Two is an American crime comedy-drama television series created by Andrew W. Marlowe and Terri Edda Miller. It premiered on ABC on June 21, 2018, and was cancelled after one season.
The series follows Samantha Swift (Rachel Bilson), a former star of a popular cop show, who, after a stint in rehab following a public meltdown, seeks to revive her career by shadowing private investigator Eddie Valetik (Eddie Cibrian). Eddie, initially reluctant to work with her, agrees to the partnership as a publicity stunt, hoping it will attract new clients.
As the series progresses, Samantha's acting skills and knowledge of television crime dramas prove surprisingly helpful in solving real cases. The pair develop a working relationship and, eventually, a grudging respect and friendship. They work together on a variety of cases, often navigating their conflicting personalities and past experiences.
The series also features Xavier de Guzman as Berto Vasquez, Eddie's tech expert, and Aliyah O'Brien as Detective Christine Rollins, Eddie's former partner and on-again, off-again love interest. The series aimed to blend crime procedural elements with comedic character dynamics.
