Thulsa Doom (band)
Thulsa Doom was a Finnish doom metal band formed in Helsinki in 2000. The band's name is taken from the Conan the Barbarian villain, Thulsa Doom, originally created by Robert E. Howard.
The band was known for its heavy, slow-paced sound and lyrical themes often drawing from occultism, mythology, and fantasy literature. They blended traditional doom metal elements with influences from stoner rock and psychedelic music.
Thulsa Doom released several albums, including The Seats of God and Devil (2001), Uses Soft Cheeses (2003), Dead Beat (2005), and A Maggot's Bible (2007). They garnered a dedicated following within the doom metal scene for their distinct sound and intense live performances. The band was led by vocalist and guitarist Ville Tuomi.
Thulsa Doom disbanded in 2010.
