Karujärve

Karujärve is a lake located in Saaremaa Parish, Saare County, Estonia. It is the largest lake on the island of Saaremaa.

Karujärve translates to "Bear Lake" in English. According to local folklore, the lake was formed from the tears of a bear.

The lake is situated in a relatively sandy area and is surrounded by forest. It is a popular recreational area, with swimming, boating, and camping opportunities. The lake is also known for its sandy beaches.
