TV Asahi

TV Asahi Corporation (株式会社テレビ朝日, Kabushiki-gaisha Terebi Asahi), also known as Asahi Television (朝日テレビ, Asahi Terebi) or Tele-Asa (テレ朝, Tere Asa), is a Japanese television network, headquartered in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo. It is a core member of the All-Nippon News Network (ANN).

Founded on November 1, 1957, as Nippon Educational Television Co., Ltd. (日本教育テレビ株式会社, Nippon Kyōiku Terebi Kabushiki-gaisha), it initially focused on educational programming. The network changed its name to Asahi National Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (全国朝日放送株式会社, Zenkoku Asahi Hōsō Kabushiki-gaisha) in 1977, reflecting a broader range of programming beyond education. The current name, TV Asahi Corporation, was adopted in 2003.

TV Asahi broadcasts nationwide across Japan. Its programming includes news, drama, anime, variety shows, and sports. Popular shows include Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan, Music Station, and News Station.

The network is a major player in the Japanese media landscape and competes with other national networks such as Nippon Television (NTV), Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS), Fuji Television, and TV Tokyo.
