Syriac Union Party (Syria)

The Syriac Union Party (SUP), also known as Huyodo Suryoyo Gaboyo (Syriac for "Syriac Unity Organization"), is a political party in Syria representing the Syriac people, who are primarily adherents of various Syriac Christian denominations. The party advocates for the rights and recognition of Syriacs within Syria, including cultural, linguistic, and political rights.

The SUP was founded in 2005 and is part of the broader Syriac identity movement, which seeks to preserve and promote Syriac language, culture, and heritage in the face of assimilation and marginalization. The party's ideology emphasizes national unity within Syria while advocating for decentralization and regional autonomy to allow Syriac communities to govern their own affairs.
