Kiyevskaya (Koltsevaya line)

Kiyevskaya (Koltsevaya line) is a station on the Koltsevaya (Circle) line of the Moscow Metro. It is located in the Dorogomilovo District of Moscow, Russia.

Opened on January 30, 1954, as part of the second stage of the Koltsevaya line, Kiyevskaya is known for its opulent design reflecting Ukrainian themes. The station's name refers to the nearby Kiyevsky railway station, which serves trains to and from Kiev, Ukraine.

The station features high vaulted ceilings adorned with mosaic panels depicting scenes of life and unity between Russia and Ukraine. These mosaics, crafted by various artists, are a major draw for tourists and admirers of Soviet-era art and architecture. The pylons are faced with light marble and the floor is laid with contrasting granite.

Kiyevskaya (Koltsevaya line) provides transfer access to two other stations of the same name, located on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line and the Filyovskaya line, forming a major transportation hub within the Moscow Metro system. The transfer corridors between the stations are well-marked and heavily used, particularly during peak hours.
