Stevenson High School (Lincolnshire, Illinois)
Stevenson High School, officially Adlai E. Stevenson High School, is a comprehensive four-year public high school located in Lincolnshire, Illinois, a suburb approximately 30 miles north of Chicago. The school serves students in grades 9-12 residing primarily in Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Buffalo Grove, Vernon Hills, and Riverwoods. It is the sole high school of Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125.
Founded in 1964, the school is named after Adlai E. Stevenson II, a former Governor of Illinois and two-time Democratic presidential candidate.
Stevenson High School is consistently recognized for its academic excellence. It is a high-performing school with a strong emphasis on preparing students for college. The school offers a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses and boasts high graduation rates and standardized test scores.
