Steven Wright (baseball)

Steven Wright (born August 30, 1984) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox.

Wright was known primarily for his knuckleball, a notoriously difficult pitch to control and hit. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the second round of the 2006 MLB draft. He made his major league debut for the Indians in 2011.

In 2012, Wright was traded to the Boston Red Sox. He spent the majority of his MLB career with the Red Sox. In 2016, he was selected to the American League All-Star team, enjoying his most successful season with a 13-6 record and a 3.33 ERA.
