Steve Howard (baseball)

Steve Howard is a former professional baseball player. He played primarily as an outfielder. Howard was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 1982 Major League Baseball draft. He made his major league debut with the Cubs on April 11, 1986. He played for the Cubs in 1986 and 1987. He was then traded to the Cincinnati Reds, where he played for the 1988 season. His MLB career concluded after the 1988 season. He had a career batting average of .227 with 6 home runs and 27 RBIs in 185 games played. Following his playing career, Howard has been involved in coaching and player development.
