Smøla (island)

Smøla is an island municipality located in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It forms part of the traditional district of Nordmøre. The municipality encompasses the island of Smøla itself, as well as numerous smaller islands and islets.

Geography:

Smøla is characterized by a relatively flat landscape, dominated by marshes, bogs, and numerous small lakes. The coastline is indented with fjords and bays, providing shelter for various seabirds and marine life. Its highest point is Ramndalshaugen, reaching only 63 meters above sea level.
