David Young (basketball)
David Young (born November 16, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'5" (1.96 m) shooting guard/small forward, he played college basketball for Xavier University.
Young began his professional career in Europe, playing in Italy, Turkey, and Ukraine. He was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round (49th overall) of the 2004 NBA draft, but was immediately traded to the Indiana Pacers. He played for the Pacers for one season (2004-2005).
Following his time in the NBA, Young continued his career internationally, playing in countries such as Israel, Russia, Puerto Rico, and France. He played in the NBA Development League (now the G League) with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He has achieved scoring titles in various leagues.
