David Hillier (academic)

David Hillier is a Professor of Finance and Executive Dean of Strathclyde Business School at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He is known for his research contributions in the areas of asset pricing, market microstructure, and behavioral finance.

Hillier holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. His research has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Finance, and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. He has also served on the editorial boards of several journals.

In addition to his academic work, Hillier has experience in consulting and executive education. He has advised a range of organizations on financial matters.

His leadership role as Executive Dean involves overseeing the strategic direction and operations of Strathclyde Business School.
