Solanas

Solanas may refer to:

• Valerie Solanas (1938-1988): An American radical feminist writer and playwright best known for writing the SCUM Manifesto (Society for Cutting Up Men) and for attempting to murder artist Andy Warhol in 1968. Her work critiques male dominance and advocates for a society without men. She remains a controversial figure in feminist history.

• Fernando Solanas (1936-2020): An Argentine film director, screenwriter, and politician. He was a prominent figure in Latin American cinema, particularly known for his politically charged and socially conscious films, such as La Hora de los Hornos (The Hour of the Furnaces), a groundbreaking work of militant cinema. He served as a senator in Argentina.
