Männik

Männik is a district (Estonian: asum) of Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. It is located in the Nõmme district of the city. Männik is primarily a residential area, characterized by apartment buildings built during the Soviet era, along with some more recent developments.

The name "Männik" translates to "pine forest" or "pine grove" in Estonian, reflecting the area's historical landscape, which was likely dominated by pine trees. Although urbanization has reduced the extent of forested areas, some green spaces remain in and around the district.

Männik is connected to the rest of Tallinn by public transportation, including buses and trains. The area offers basic amenities such as shops, schools, and kindergartens.
